In 2004, Osada Steve and Z. Maitri embarked on an artistic collaboration where women in rope were captured by light painting.<\/p>\n
For this to work, the room had to be absolutely dark. Z. Maitri would then use shutter speeds of up to one minute on medium-format cameras while he began \u201cpainting\u201d with a torchlight. For each scene he would use a full film of twelve frames on his Hasselblad camera. The model(s) would have to sit completely still for each shot. In the case of suspensions, the models would have to be in the air for about twenty minutes before the last frame was taken. Not all photos on a film would turn out with ideal exposure and \u201cpatterns\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\t
