Sit back and enjoy this video."},"content":{"rendered":"[fvplayer id=&#8221;1&#8243;]\n<p>Twenty years to date, in 1999, I had arranged weekly performances for <a href=\"https:\/\/tokyobound.com\/blog\/?p=185\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">grandmaster Osada Eikichi<\/a> at the Mistress Bar in Roppongi. During those shows, I first started to become part of Osada sensei\u2019s stage act. More precisely, today (May, 2019) I am celebrating my 20th anniversary as a rope performer.<\/p>\n<p>From March 2003 to November 2005, I gave weekly performances at a club called Jail Tokyo that was owned by <a href=\"https:\/\/tokyobound.com\/blog\/?p=359\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Oda Hisashi Sensei<\/a>. That\u2019s about ten dozen shows, one of which can be watched in the video clip on this page.<\/p>\n<p>With rising popularity, I would soon take my shows from club level to larger stages in so-called nudo gekijo \/ \u30cc\u3069\u5287\u5834 theaters all over Japan, with an average of four gigs a day.<\/p>\n<p>Not long thereafter I began to produce and\/or act in about 500 SM\/kinbaku videos before focusing almost exclusively on <a href=\"http:\/\/osadasteve.com\/classes_en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">teaching<\/a>\u00a0and running the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osada-ryu.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Osada-ryu<\/a> conglomerate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[fvplayer id=&#8221;1&#8243;] Twenty years to date, in 1999, I had arranged weekly performances for grandmaster Osada Eikichi at the Mistress Bar in Roppongi.
