I recently posted an interview Osada Steve conducted with the late, legendary Akechi Denki. If you’re at all into bondage, and especially if you’re into Japanese style bondage, you know how precious and rare an interview in English is with the likes of Akechi sensei.
In fact, if you can find anything else like it on the web, please point me in that direction!
Personally, I found Akechi sensei’s comments both illuminating and fascinating. The language barrier can be formidable at times but, thanks to Steve, we can get a peek at what goes on behind the scenes of the enigmatic world of shibari in Japan.
These interviews aren’t easy to come by but I’m happy to say that I have some more in the pipeline. And they are with some of the top names on the short list of professional nawashi in Japan.
Because these interviews are so rare, I’m going to space them out a bit. I’d also like as many people as possible to be able to read the interviews before they get pushed down the page too far.
In the not-too-distant future I will also be posting a fascinating article about a Western woman who posed for a bondage photo while in Japan two decades ago. She went on a quest to find the photo, Not only was it eventually identified, she was even able to meet with the photographer. Prior to this she had neither seen the photo nor did she know if it had even been published.
A filmmaker, she documented her search on videotape and a film was produced. Her success in locating the picture and the photographer was due, in no small part, to the efforts of Osada Steve whose contacts in Japan are extensive.
This is an amazing story but it left me with even more questions. I should be meeting with Steve soon and I’ll see if I can get a few more details out of him. The article is schedule to be published in a magazine in Germany and when that’s done, I should be able to post it here.
In the meantime, I’ll leave you with some wet and messy action courtesy of Kotone-chan.
