Ten years ago on July 17, the great shibari grandmaster Akechi Denki passed away.
Much has changed since. Such as the explosive growth of shibari enthusiasts in the west.
Chances are, wherever you are, at whatever level you tie, your rope can somehow be traced back to Akechi Denki.
Let us be thankful to those who have walked the path of kinbaku before us.
